Venturing is a young adult program of the Boy Scouts of America for men and women 14 (who have completed the eighth grade) through 20 years of age. Venture Crew 202 was founded in 1999 to meet the developmental needs of older Boy Scouts in Troop 202 and other young men and women in the community. Venture Crew 202 is chartered by St. Timothy's Episcopal Church and is part of a scouting family including Troop 202 and Pack 118.

The activities of Crew 202 are planned and carried out by its youth members and include outdoor high adventure as well as high school appropriate social activities. Over the years, the Crew has been involved in indoor and outdoor climbing, SCUBA diving, backpacking, canoeing, caving, cycling, boating and other outdoor high adventure activities. The Crew's social activities have included bowling, golfing, X-Box tournaments, skating, pool, swimming, board games, and ethics debates.

Venture Crew 202 is in the Raccoon River Valley District of the Mid-Iowa Council and has had youth members active on the district Teen Leaders Council. Participation in District and Council activities gives Crew members an opportunity of meet and get to know Venturers' from throughout central Iowa in a safe haven environment.
